It gives me enormous pleasure to announce that I now co-run, along with Stephanie Carty (previously Hutton), the inaugural National Flash Fiction Day Novella-in-Flash Award. We are thrilled to have Sophie van Llewyn, author of Bottled Goods, longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction, as our competition judge.

Our doors are open to entries between 6,000 and 12,000 words from 01 Feb 2021 to 31 Oct 2021 (individual flash fictions should be no more than 1,000 words). Results will be announced in January 2022. The winner will be published by National Flash Fiction Day Press and receive a £300 prize. Second place will receive £100 and third place will receive £50. All the information can be found here — National Flash Fiction Day.

If you have any queries please don’t send them to my email address, there is an email provided on the NFFD website under the Submission Guidelines.
